@mwl "stereotypes"i can only speak from my personal experienceI started giving the finger to every cybertruck I saw, then noticed that many are driven by women, so I stopped, cause a guy giving hte finger to a woman in public is wrongwalking down the sidewalk, this guy got out of his CTI politely asked how he liked ithe said: wife bought it 2 years ago and she loves itand yes, you don't see many at a library . .cause there are so few of them around, but I'm pretty sure I've seen one

@mwl Oh. I just envisioned the near-future with lonely junkie Elon's naziboxes converted into neighborhood libraries, with books available in the flatass back-end and reading room in front seats. @mwl I see quite a few Cybertrucks in the parking lot of our state research university. Since we have quite a few Nobel laureates on staff, I believe this demonstrates that you can be very smart and very stupid at the same time. (And more Tesla sedans than I can count.)

@mwl A tech bro literally told me last week that books and newspapers were the product of a biased leftist media system, and that chatbots were a less biased sourceI pointed out that the chatbots were trained on something but he insisted they're more than their training sets and are unbiased.I pointed out that maybe newspapers are less politically right because many right politicians have explicitly abandoned truth - also did not land.At the time I was genuinely upset by his rejecting valid challenges without any rational counterargument!

@mwl What’s the slang for cybertruck drivers? I ask, because we don’t have them on the roads in the UK (for which I am relieved) but if we did I would be very tempted by my West Country dad’s phrase ‘grockles’…they too are never seen at the library.
