Teaching a session on critical reading this morning - doing my bit to counter the "just get AI to do it" attitude some students have. Also, y'know, getting people to learn how to question what they read is always useful. No, not everything you read online is true...shocking, I know. #Workposting

@tiefling @therivercrow teach you what? What is there to learn about using AI? Every AI bro ever talks about it like it's some skill that needs developing when actually you just write shit in a textbox then pray to Sithis the entropy was correct on that day and you'll get something actually useful and not a generated image of what looks like a table with the values you asked for but that's actually just some blurry lines and a bad facsimile of text (true story btw, someone I know asked ShartGPT for a bunch of data in a CSV table and the LLM generated an image of a table with unreadable shapes that might look like text if you're sufficiently drunk)
