       @WizardFishy if id just go by ease of use id prob say fedora (with KDE) or kubuntu. Im on devuan now because im too paranoid about where systemd is heading (age verification) which is basically just debian without it

       @teto I seee I'm new to Linux so I don't really know how it all works. I have a potato spec computer so I switched to Linux looking for something faster than Windows and it very much is. I started with some Arch based distros and they were ok but I was always running into issues so I caved and Switched to Mint and it's been a lot better so far.

       @WizardFishy I would be on mint if it were easy to select a different init system and had a KDE plasma option with wayland (for HDR). They stick with x11 atm but that will probably change in the future.

       @WizardFishy if you dont know what x11 or wayland is thats fine. Most people dont really need to know (unless they buy an OLED monitor/TV)

       @WizardFishy @teto FWIW, I used Mint as my primary OS for most of 2024, and still have it installed on my laptop. My needs with it were pretty basic, but it always worked well.
