       @mwl I saw the movie "Laserblast" by mistake (in the cinema). All I remember is that Bob Denver was in it (though apparently he wasn't) and somehow the laser created a metal disc in the user's chest.

       @mwl In a previous life I saw Laserblast... don't remember much but I was confused because it was Richard Lynch on the cover but he wasn't in the film.  (Look him up, the cover looks like him so much)This was a classic early Charlie Band film... that kind of says it all.So your book.... is it a sequel, a prequel, a retelling or a new story?
