       ​:neofox_googly_shocked:​ AAAAAI just got an email for the Global Accessibility Awareness Day......... and they're talking about "AI-for-All" ???Like, AI can be a good tool for the end user that needs accessibility if what they need wasn't provided... but it shouldn't be used by the people making the things, since it'll never be as good as someone doing it with intentplus, whenever my company talks about AI they mean LLMs and GenAI, and those are even less useful for accessibility

       @gwenthefops@transfem.social I guess they mean things like text to speech and vision models.Sadly no, they're not as good and I mean sadly because this is one of the instances where AI could actually be useful, and it kinda is, but still isn't because of how flawed it is. Voice generation cracks often, the vision models don't recognize a lot of details that humans do recognize, specially if they're context depndent. OCR is still the same as it was before and it's just as bad...
