       @kura @Erpel It would probably work using hashes tho.Save every hash of the same password with one charakter missing.Take the users input and delete one charakter and look if it matches one of the hashes.No plain text needed in the db.

       @Erpel i remember hearing a decade ago about facebook storing hashes of 3 versions of your password to allow things like capslock and capitalized first letter (phone autocorrects)
