       @alys @ariadne Yeah, and he made a very weird video telling people it was "basically free" and it supposedly is much cheaper than normal plane tickets.

       @alys @Lenni I can't imagine any scenario where a private jet is "basically free"you have to pay for maintenance, flight crew, fuel...

       @ariadne @alys He only factored in fuel prices for his "calculations" and compared it to some very expensive first class tickets for a large family iirc. And about it being "free" he said something about some expensive checkups having been done before he bought it, which would've (supposedly) cost as much as the jet.

       @ariadne @alys @Lenni to be fair they were clear in the video that the “for free” came down to them being able to sell it for about the same as they bought it within the same fiscal year, hence it being “free” for the company.Still, buying a private jet for any amount of time is wild

       @ariadne ughhhhhhhhh i swear more and more that channel is basically becoming the tech version of mrbeast aka "look at how much money we have" and it's becoming disgusting how much they flaunt their wealth (my gut feeling is telling me strongly that LTT's wealth-gathering wasn't entirely just popularity based, i have no evidence for this thought but i just...do not see pure ads + sponsors getting them to the level of wealth they have demonstrably shown right now which is disgusting)
