       How legit is the "arrive 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights" advice? It seems so far security has always been way faster for me. But then again I check in in advance and only have carry-on

       @iro_miya I stick to it religiously, even if it’s off-peak, you can get caught in a security wave, where a large flight or series of flights are due to depart and everyone makes their way to security en masses Although for international flights, I generally aim for 2.5 h rather than 3 h

       @iro_miya only carry-on helps a lot. But the idea is that even if something goes wrong on the way to the airport (like a delayed train or something), and security is absolutely packed (I've had queues going out of the fucking building), you can still make it.If you are late, make sure that the staff know that. They'll let you skip the queue. The security check itself will, of course, not be any faster tho

       @iro_miya its outdated advice imo, nowadays wait times r much lesstho having a buffer is good anyways cause something may happen on the way,(it kinda is the "arrive 15 mins earlier to doctor appointment" bs — yes it makes sense but 5 mins r way more than enough already)
