       Even with two paracentesis procedures to drain fluid she is still struggling with eating. The appetite is there but she has so much painful cramping and immediate fullness and pressure. I’ve been back and forth with the oncology team so many times but it’s very demoralizing that they don’t have any ideas or medications to help. Weeks to get a gastro appointment but it’s probably the cancer anyway. Some days are better and I got high calorie (500+) boost shakes for her to drink.

       They caution her that when weight is lost it will be very hard for her to gain it back, but then they have no practical help or advice on maintaining the weight.

       @aceattveg that sounds frustrating! I appreciate you doing what you can and being ready with that protein whenever she can take a bit!
