If you have not discussed boundaries around seeing other people, and you do so without your partner’s knowledge or consent, that is a breach of trust.Even if those boundaries have been discussed before, you should still communicate openly with your partner before becoming involved with someone else, unless you have explicitly agreed otherwise.
