       First shout out goes to the hotel breakfast buffet at JAM Lisbon (which is a lovely hotel btw). 10/10 continental spread (I'm a sucker for a continental breakfast) with a couple of hot options too for the full three course breakfast experience. The pumpkin jam was a particular highlight.

       This will probably become a thread of where to get a good steak sarnie in Lisbon, but first prego of the holiday (steak and ham) from Cave de São Bento in the time out food hall and no complaints from me, good rare steak and lovely soft roll which held its structure to the bitter end!

       Not Lisbon, but Torres Vedras (I'm at a wedding in the area). Chose Taberna 22 because their menu had incredibly good allergy advice in pictograms (more places should do this). Absolutely fucking awesome. I had the black pig neck, it was gorgeous. Also, €3 glasses of vinho verde.

       Anyway wish me luck because tomorrow I'm at the mercy of wedding caterers who will probably give me the vegan option and I'll need to try to communicate that miso paste almost always contains sufficient prawn to be Bad For Me. Belatedly, does anyone know the Portuguese for "cross contamination"?

       (Sorry any vegans reading this, but literally every vegan cheese I have ever eaten has made my mouth swell up and literally the only swelling allergy I have is crustaceans)
