       Yeah, having a cook cup is a common things for canteens.  But You have to boil in the cup, then transfer to the canteen when the water cools if you want locally sourced water ti be clean, or use purifier tabs that makes the water taste like a piss filled swimming pool. How grayls work is that you filter out everything and have potable water in under 10 seconds.   You Don't need purifier tabs, or a fire that will kill bacteria but leave dirt and particulates.  Standard gayls come with a plastic press cup. So you can't cook with it. And the titanium ones are like 200 bucks.  So what you get here is the immediate access to clean water while you're moving. And the ability to boil some oats, tea, Mac and cheese or whatever kind of food you brought when you're in camp later without having to carry a seperate non-nesting cup or pot youtube.com/shorts/b-PrFKdwOck
