       @mkljczk no need to, maybe except notifications but these are served the same way as browser, Tauri is essentially a little rust core linked against libwebkitgtk (but you can leave it empty without writing any rust) and then running your SPA inside it, orders of magnitude smaller than electron

       @skrzyp i know what tauri is and it feels pointless to me, electron apps that could be just websites are the kind of software i just avoid touching

       @mkljczk i completely agree, but I should admit that Nicolium is a neat exception the webapp landscape and I am nowhere with convincing you to have a native desktop version, which is fine. Maybe the PWA would just work though.

       @skrzyp @mkljczk I compared the Electron vs Tauri versions of DeltaChat and it wasn't goodElectron was ~ 700MB of RAM and Tauri was ~ 600
