       I have come to hate the term 'AI'.I hate it because AI does not exist.Just because you have an automated parrot on your computer does not make that machine 'intelligent'.Even if you have 10000 computers running the same software, those machines are not 'intelligent'.What you have is a poor statistical model.So, stop using 'AI'. This term is pure propaganda, designed to make you despair.Use better terms: 'machine generated', 'statistical nonsense' for instance.Boost if you agree.

       @ParadeGrotesque Opinions about AI aside, isn’t it a good thing that we have a term we all can use to debate this phenomenon? We don’t argue about if the ”I” in CIA means that the agency is intelligent or not – we can still debate CIA as such, can’t we?

       @naton Weak sauce. Intelligence, in "CIA" means information, especially of a secret or confidential nature.Intelligence, in "Artificial intelligence" means precisely that: something that is intelligent, conscious, capable of deduction and creativity. In short, everything the LLMs are incapable of. You are nothing but an AI apologist. Don't bother replying.

       @mirabilos I like machine regurgitated.However, "machine generated" is probably closer to the truth, since a machine takes a prompt from a user, interprets it and generates... something based on millions or billions of data points.It is true the "digestion" and regurgitation process means crunching these data into a mediocre average, at best, based on a mediocre interpretation of a (usually) mediocre human prompt.

       @ParadeGrotesque no, it absolutely does NOT generate anything.It merely selects where the lossy decompression algorithm should start.If you call it generative, you fell into their propaganda. It truly is not.
