       @fiore@brain.worm.pink Nothing to do with Sharkey.I'm trying to run my own Forgejo Actions runner, which it my understanding, technically doesn't need to run in docker. it can run on host or in LXC. but docker is the main method for isolation and the configs i'm referencing use docker. also podman is like docker. so they're synonyms for the purpose of this post. and i'm also trying to make my own images for the actions runner.and i think i have both of those steps. i'm able to make docker images just fine and upload them and have a workflow run.BUT: - i want to make the docker images IN forgejo actions,then:- i want to upload the docker images from forgejo actions, so the next run will use them.and somehow, uploading shit is the hard part because it needs a docker socket inside of docker???see also this post which i think it's the most relevant and avoids the "XY problem" https://gaysex.cloud/notes/am8s91qe1ka8000n

       @sodiboo @fiore I have done the Docker socket inside Docker thing with Docker compose* by adding a bind mount volume${DOCKER_SOCK}:/var/run/docker/docker.sockand an environment variableDOCKER_SOCK: /var/run/docker/docker.sockto the compose.yaml and then running the compose thing with DOCKER_SOCK=<where the actual docker socket is>*actually Podman compose, which is the reason I used an environment variable (the Podman socket is in a different place)
