       @omgubuntu Ubuntu's new Glycin lib completely broke HEIF support, didn't it? Photos from both an iPhone and a Xiaomi of mine are no longer displayed by Loupe or Shotwell

       @dm29 I was confused at first, as all my iPhone's HEIFs load in 26.04 – but then I remembered that was an upgrade from 25.10 I did a few months back.I tested on a clean install and while HEIF thumbnails load in Nautilus, Loupe can't decode/load the images. It seems this was an intentional change (patent concerns) on new installs, and will impact the upcoming ISOs of 24.04.5 LTS too:https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libheif/+bug/2142762The fix is to manually install libheif-plugin-libde265.
