       A surprisingly common opinion I found talking to evangelical Christians is "women shouldn't be in leadership positions of any kind, shouldn't teach, and should only do household work."They think they are being based but their opinions are regressive by any historical standard.You have to understand that womens' power throughout history was mostly through their husbands.        So we try to be based and say "Every manager should be a man," but the closest we can actually get to achieving a similar organizational structure of the past actually is a DEI paradise where half of managers are men and half are women, and they are alternated in the org chart: Man, Woman, Man, Woman, Man.It isn't quite the same but this idea of all male business is just a modernist botched attempt to be based

       @Cosmic The problem isn’t women being in positions of authority, it’s their attitude once they get there. Too many believe their decisions should never be questioned, and a lot of those decisions are bad ones.  The worst of which is promotion of like kind (other women) to positions of power subordinate to them regardless of whether they are the best choice to fill the roll or not. We’re in a position now where a female accountant is GM over an entire engineering team. 😕 Out of her depth.

       Women did all kinds of work in history. If you take a medieval blacksmith for example, his home WAS his place of business as well. So you could say that this wife ran his household but the household WAS the family business too. So her function was basically the chief administrative officer of their small business along with other social duties.This same division goes all the way up to royalty and nobility with noble women wielding incredible power.

       With the modern destruction of the family, it no longer makes sense for us for a wife to wield a husband's power.How creepy would it be to us if the VP of Sales' wife was functioning like an administrative assistant and telling people what to do with his authority?
