       @IngaLovinde @rail according to openrailwaymap brest tsentralny has a 1435mm track with 3kV DC electrification so unless that is incorrect/outdated it should be possible

       @focaccina @IngaLovinde i mean, there were trains between poland and belarus/russia going through there on regular basis before ~2020, including Paris - Moscow and Nice - Moscow ones tootrains were arriving in Brest normally and from there they were rolled into a workshop where bogie swap happened and they carried on into Belarus with 1520mm bogies and Belarusian locomotive

       @rail @focaccina yeah the important thing is that it's european gauge starting/ending in Brest rather than russian gauge starting/ending in Terespol (although there is this one too)

       @IngaLovinde @railDon't mind my comment actually, I seem to have bad reading comprehension so early in the morning it seems (yes 12pm local time was just after waking up for me)I somehow read it as "gauge break between terespol and brest"

       @rail @focaccina also afaik current trains Warsaw - Terespol used to run to Brest before?Wife had to do Berlin - Moscow - Berlin trip in 2022, and unfortunately by then she had to take the iregular delayed bus between Terespol and Brest (which also spent 2 hours just in queue to the border control + customs each way). Which is... not very nice if you have onward ticket on a sleeper from Brest to Moscow, or even just on a regular train from Terespol to Warsaw considering that there are only like three of them per day.
