       @Giri I think it's because I some cases you see the curve and other parts more depending on what is being worn like tight spats, there is just something apealing about still being able to view a nice ass while it's still socially acceptable since they are technically clothed still.

       @Puck_Fuller That's a good point, but some artists don't usually draw curves—they just need to draw a panty shot, and it's more suggestive than any other image

       @Giri true and in that case I think its because on here we see so much nude ass that seeing the occasional clothed one is more apealing to see the edged of the panties hug their ass and even if you don't see the outline of their ass you still see the surface coved up and you end up dressing them down in your mind and whatnot

       @Puck_Fuller I think that's really interesting! Although the mere fact that the erotic elements aren't shown is enough to spark the imagination. I was thinking of trying something similar in my next drawings.

       @Giri@baraag.net It's compositional complexity right? Like drawing someone naked, especially if they're just there by themselves you are reliant on their body shape and hair to provide the silhouette and colors. The aesthetic possibilities are more limited.If the character (just assuming for the purposes of this example that it's just a pinup of one character) is wearing something, even if it's revealing, you increase the compositional complexity, give the viewer more to chew on. The silhouette might take on more distinct shapes, the colors definitely are going to be more engaging than just the skin tone. And this assumes color, if your composition is flat/no shading greyscale you  benefit even more from putting clothes on I think.
