@NanoRaptor fun fact: Richard Feynman took on this project so he could run Quark Xpress at 1600x1200@60Hz in 24 bit color mode, but Stephen Wolfram refused to support its 256-bit vector extensions in Mathematica because Feynman wouldn’t agree that quantum electrodynamics could be explained with cellular automata

@NanoRaptor I remember the programming model of the hypercube processors was so abstruse it was affectionately known as “The Conniption Machine” or “Cray-Cray”

@Cdespinosa @NanoRaptor The big hit for The Connection Machine at the MIT Media Lab was that a PhD student spent a month learning how to make text scroll on das Blinkenlights.
