It’s so weird, I loved my 8bitdo Pro controller so much. But ever since the sticks irritated my thumb playing No Man’s Sky, I can’t play any game without them hurting my thumb. So now for PC I’m back to my Xbox One controller I retired a long while ago.

For Switch I’m very happy with the Pro Controller 2- it can be used on PC but not wirelessly which doesn’t really work for me.

@aceattveg In the end, I ended up getting the G7 Pro ZZZ Edition. (I'm weak... :blobcatcry2: and it's so cool) The non-slip coating on the joysticks was so "good" that it basically left my fingers raw. It was like sandpaper. But I was able to fix it by putting on the protective caps that came with it. Couldn't that help solve some of your problem with the 8bitdo?

@edhelangas I didn’t have any caps and the ones I ordered had a terrible fit and would rub on the controller body when the sticks were fully moved. I might come back to the idea eventually.

@aceattveg I guess it's because of the angle they're tilted at. The only thing I can think of is to look for some specifically designed for the 8bitdo.But anyway, don't worry about it. Just think—the red Xbox gamepad is so iconic that it's even appeared in the Sirena comics.
