       now how can a constitutional amendment possibly be unconstitutionalit seems patently absurd that the va supreme court can claim to be protecting the rights of voters to choose how they vote (for state delegates) while simultaneously overturning the actual vote that took place

       like, did lawmakers violate the state constitution in getting the amendment on the ballot? sure does seem like it. but the only thing for a (not partisan-ly motivated) court to do is go, “yes, but the proposed remedy is not acceptable either”
