       i grew up surrounded with SPARC machines (on account of my whole "i technically grew up in a satellite datacenter" thing)... but i rarely actually used them

       i say this because it's silly. but i also say this because there was a 40u server rack embedded in the wall of my bedroom and for about 10 years before i reached adulthood and moved out, i fell asleep every night to the sound of whirring server fans.there was also a real datacenter nearby that was associated with that equipment, into which i was also dragged along to on a not infrequent basis.my first job was also with that same data center

       512MiB of RAM and a 548MHz UltraSparc IIi sounds like a perfectly reasonable spec for a sturdy NetBSD server
