       I am building a macOS automatic document filing app right now.The idea is:Scan a document → New PDF appears in a watched folder → App takes PDF and performs OCR (if needed) → Generates file name based on content → Guesses a place in the file system based on content → You decide if you like the suggestions and approve, or change and file.It is based on apple intelligence on device models, so everything stays on your machine. If that makes any sense to you, I will have test flight slots soon

       @MoritzGlantz I don’t have enough paper to scan to need this anymore but I had a Hazel setup to do that for years, I’m sure yours with modern AI and OCR would be so much easier to use. I had it all setup so invoices in Mail.app were saved to downloads then based on content files renamed and moved, it was great but way too much of a “power user only” setup

       @g Yeah, I was looking at Hazel too for this, but I wanted automatic file names based on the content and I could not find it there. Or was I missing something?

       @MoritzGlantz I mean it was basic, so I’d have a rule like:If it’s in downloads, is a PDF, file name starts with Insurance and content has $accountID then rename to YYYY-MM-DD- Insurance - personal.pdfBut that was static, no actual content was going to the file name
