       I can forgive the outdated terminology and assumptions made in the Emacs tutorial. But ngl the double spaces after periods really bother me.

       This just bit me. I was wondering why the M-k command was deleting more than one sentence. Apparently the double spaces is how Emacs knows it's a "sentence". ​:akko_woozy:​

       @emmy In text-mode, sentence-end is"\\([.?!…‽][]\"'”’)}»›]*\\($\\|[  ]$\\|\\|[  ][  ]\\)\\|[。．？！]+\\)[  ]*"Whatever that means, can’t read Emacs regex at all.

       miss @fiore :  honestly double spaces after periods are actually very nice ,  even excluding its typing quirk
