       @eff I attended a presentation at my kid's school about children's online safety by a police officer and a nonprofit's lawyer. They mean well and do challenging and important work and I am very thankful.The lawyer mentioned lobbying for COSA in Washington D.C. After the presentation I told her that, according to the EFF, COSA is bad for privacy. She knew of EFF's opposition. I asked the police officer about the balance between child safety and privacy. They were nice but did not like me.

       @eff Surveillance is just control rebranded as safety. EFF has been the only org consistently calling this out for decades - respect.
