       thankfully past me was smart enough to pay for overnight shipping so i can redirect it to a fedex store and pick it up tomorrow without my plans being ruined

       @ariadne@social.treehouse.systems more or less the expirience for every such big delivery company in my region. dhl and dpd usually only deliver once a week and pull this shit more often than not. and if that happens, you can wait again for at least another week or two again.at least our postal system is pretty reliable and quick

       @ariadne took two weeks for them to understand how to deliver a set of keys to a real estate agents office, who have clear signage visible from the street, and obvious opening hours written on the door. Complete clownshoes.

       @ariadne imagine paying ~$250 for overnight international shipping, sticking an airtag in the package out of curiosity, and seeing how the package has not moved from a fedex store for 18-ish hours, and not leaving the origin city for 2 or 3 days. The package was delivered after… 5 days or so.
