       I've watched videos, I've researched common mistakes, I've had no issues with reading 3/5/12/24V circuits on my desk, I dunnoI refuse to try again I'm just gonna get a voltage tester pen instead

       update: my Very Powerful Mitbewohner tested my multimeter w another circuit and it worked ✅ but my room must be cursed so we didn't try
