       OK but... what's so great about the Steam controller anyway? I guess if you really like those touch pads, then sure. But other than that, what do they have that some half-price rando-brand doesn't?

       @johnny@lazygeek.cafe those touch pads are big favorites to some, so is one of the two main selling points I think. The other is the capacitive sensors on the sticks that can be configured to do all kinds of things, like enable or disable motion control upon touch. Lastly, of course, is the full compatibility they'll have (and that you'll know they have) with Steam(OS), so purchasing wise it'll feel more like getting a first party controller. Especially the motion controls part can actually be a bit tricky with certain third party controllers.But of course, if none of those features sound at all appealing to you, it won't really sound all that interesting. It is nice to have another first party option available, but it's certainly a market that doesn't have a shortage of other fine options 😄
