       So, question time again. . . The job I am trying to get would require occasional use of a personal laptop. I have an Alienware M17 R1 that needs a new keyboard and disc drive. I am pretty sure I am capable of the repairs, and the parts are available and affordable. Problem is, it's a Vista machine. Can it be retrofitted with one of the open source operating systems? I don't want to put money and time into it if I'm stuck with Vista.#Laptop #WindowsVista #Clueless
