       @Alex Well. I lost my job a few months ago when the union failed. Bosses took revenge.So I’m not that anymore.

       Oh, damn. That really sucks. Sorry, didn't know about that. Feels like unions have been getting fucked over all across Canada lately, we're in a really bad spot overall in that regard tbh. Idk if the stuff with Alberta's teacher's union was the big kickoff for that or just when I happened to begin noticing it, but like, my fiance's been complaining that his union has been struggling since that stuff happened too.I hope you're able to find employment again soon. Have you been able to get on EI or anything like that in the meantime, or are you incomeless? How're you holding out?

       @Alex I was denied EI because my bosses claimed I was fired for insubordination. I took them to the Industrial Relations Board and I won a little bit. They had to retract their lies about me, issue me a corrected record of employment and pay me a decent sum but its far from a fortune. Just a few months of pay. I appealed to EI after my records were updated but it takes them forever. I hope to find work soon but there is a reason trans people top the charts for unemployment sadly.The real kicker is that our union drive failed because the bosses told certain people that anyone who signed on to the union would be fired and they were too cowardly to stand up for themselves. Turned out they were mostly right really, after I was fired they purged everyone I was friends with. Aside from having to pay me a few months of pay, they got away with blatantly violating the rights of everyone. Disgusting. Bad times.
