       @natty the blake3 paper is imo really well done https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BLAKE3-team/BLAKE3-specs/master/blake3.pdf i am planning to implement it by hand soon bc i have some qualms with the reference impl. i really appreciate how they link real world applications to the specific guarantees of the hash function
