       @mirabilos It does indeed 🍺I've had about a 50/50 success rate so far, but I can't help but take the gamble. :welp:This one turned out pretty good, thankfully. We'll see how my luck goes tomorrow. Have you noticed any patterns as to which tend to be better? Or has it been more of a free for all?

       @KmacNessa hmm.Those that tend to put more value on marketing than the actual product were overall worse, though I found myself enjoying “moloko”, which looks like it’s targetting fancy higher class. It’s also refreshingly not-too-sweet, which has been a factor. But sometimes, it’s just a complete surprise.

       @mirabilos That's a good point... splashy brands probably bank more on their name power than the quality of the actual brew.  Moloko sounds tasty! I'll keep a look out for it. I keep forgetting Moloko isn't just a electronic band.

       @KmacNessa I have no idea. It also never got explained in the story itself. Perhaps the author just used three syllables that fit well together, or drank that stuff while writing.

The drink was basically milk spiked with stimulant drugs. I believe it inspired many real world drinks and cocktails not containing illicit substances.And the name "moloko" is transliteration of молоко — milk in Russian (and maybe other Slavic languages), A Clockwork Orange's NADSAT slang almost entirely consists of transliterated Russian words, even the word NADSAT itself means "teen" in Russian 😆

       @m0xEE @KmacNessa it’s a freshing drink with lemon, orange, elderflower and ginger, made for Moloko Beverage GmbH, apparently (ISTR them also having a mint flavour).I’ve not read that orange clock book, so I couldn’t know, even though I know mljeko for milk.

The main theme is whether ethical behaviour should be voluntary and how enforcing it through violence can twist one's mind.Stanley Kubrick brought it to screen and the film is rather popular. It's actually the movie that made me think it's the fourth derivative — I'm not certain, but I think that milk is never mentioned in it, the narrator says something about the drink coming in three varieties, but they omit the milk part that was present in the book. I don't remember it too well myself, it's been years, I have to re-watch it!
