       @esoterra that impersonality exists in sailing as well. We often come across people who live in boats that don't fit their needs, which were designed by naval architects who don't sail and don't understand these needs, but who won't make changes to their ship by fear of negatively impacting the reselling of their boat. This to me, is the mirror image of personal computing and smartphone market.

       @neauoire That’s really cool.If I were to do that, I’d be constantly second-guessing myself: what if I change my mind about where that utensil is more convenient? What if the blender breaks and the new one doesn’t fit?Which is silly, because in the end the blender doesn’t break, but I don’t benefit from the stuff I hesitated to do.

       Almost done with the new kitchen cabinet! We have to wait a bit before we can install it, but it's quite nice. Made almost entirely from reclaimed wood, except for the backing panel which was given to use by Peter on MV Geordie.
