@pixelfed When trying to create an account, the email confirmation code can't be copy-pasted, since the spaces between are also being pasted into the text-box.Videos federated from mastodon instances have no thumbnail.Thanks for your work!

@pixelfed When I want to reply with an image if I want to type a message to go with it I have to type that first because it immediately posts the image upon its selection. Related: Does not give me the opportunity to add alt text to the image used in the reply. On the android app.

@pixelfed not sure if Android or phone problem, but in the app, there is no way to see if someone added alt text and how to read it. Only when I switch to mastodon, I can see if there is alt text. I don't use screen readers but would still like to see if there is alt text before boosting something.

@pixelfed The image zooming behaviour is quite odd in official app and it's not easy to check details of photos. As soon as one of the fingers untouched the screen the image returns completely to initial scale.

@pixelfed -HEIC support does not work at all. -Hashtags added after uploading do not get the photo to the corresponding hashtag list. -Sharing in Android needs the app to be completely closed to work; it needs improvement. Thank you so much for asking about.

@pixelfed Following hashtags should show multiple images instead of single images as it lends itself to being a feeling of doomscrolling even though we like the hashtag topics. I suspect we should separate the people we follow and hashtags on separate tabs or merge hashtags with the explore tab or allow users to choose which is displayed? I know, not a bug. Couldn’t help it! But many thanks for PixelFed.

@pixelfed push notifications don't work on degoogled devices. @unifiedpush has an awesome solution, that even makes the FCM proxy redundant on devices with Google play services.

@pixelfed On the Android app: the three-dot menu button on someone's profile page doesn't do anything, so you have no options for blocking or muting. I have yet to figure out how to get the app to display alt text for an image. Swiping back from a post reloads the feed you're browsing rather than returning you to the point in the feed you were previously at.

@pixelfed please check the login redirect from the mobile page of the browser back to the Pixelfed App. Some sort of token handling went wrong making it impossible for me to login. I use a common AOSP based "custom ROM".

@pixelfed federated posts (e.g. from mastodon.social) don't update when they have been edited (they continue to show as the original post).Follow requests I get don't show up in the notifications tab in the Android app (even though "show alert" is set to on). I always have to manually check for requests in the settings page

@pixelfed stability issues (weird things like I see limited parts of my feed or account; image upload settings restricted; nothing loads and exit and reopen doesn’t usually fix it either); not being able to boost; editing a post and adding a hashtag doesn’t register (search for that hashtag and your post doesn’t show up). When adding alt text the save button is below the keyboard so I wish there was an autosave when you press post. iOS mobile.

@pixelfed My API keys break with every server software update. I now can't create a new one, because when I try to submit the dialog box after entering the new key name, nothing happens.Same when trying to edit a post, the dialog box won't react and I can't even get at the function. @pixelfed Thank you for your continued effort. I use pixelfed as a substitute for Instagram. Two requests: - similar to Mastodon: option for self-deleting posts, e.g. after 90 days or one year- locations for more countries, and also in local language (e.g. Ciudad de México instead of Mexico City).

@pixelfed I have observed a phenomenon in my laptop browser (current Firefox version on the current version of Linux Mint) that alt text will appear as appropriate for single pictures, but not when there is more than one picture in the same post. These are cases where I know there is an alt text, and a friend (using some other OS, I don’t know which) can see them. I don’t know if the issue is with Pixelfed or something else, but wanted to mention it.

@pixelfed Biggest pain points:- Adding/Editing hashtags in existing posts doesn't work.- Followed hashtags stop appearing in the timeline after a certain time (I've had to unfollow and refollow my hashtags three times in the past six weeks). This is reportedly fixed, but I haven't been able to confirm it yet.

@pixelfed Biggest pain points:- Commenting is a nightmare: threads aren't visible, so we have to check and reply via other apps like Pixelix or Mastodon if there's a reply to a reply. Comments are a big deal for the Pixelfed community, so it would be great if they were usable without switching to Mastodon to comment or reply.

@pixelfed Biggest pain points:- Boosts/reposts aren't working.- The comment text box is too small. You can only see a few words of your comment, and the deeper the thread level, the less you see. Clicking the "Tt" button to expand the box only works on the first thread level.

@pixelfed Cannot access collections from the WebUI on a smartphone, I have to toggle PC view before it appears. And definitely should discard the « return to old UI » option, confusing rather than really useful. And no push notification when receiving a DM, which are formatted ignoring newlines. And new users applying does not send an email on curated on-boarding despite the env var being set.

@pixelfed I forgot to mention a coule more. When on the post screen, the 'add to colection' option does not work. Also, when trying to add a photo to a colection the listed photos displayed are limited so old enough ones won't make it. Thank you!
