       Trying to find a mouse in 2026 is torturous.  No, I don't want wireless, I have a desktop PC.  No I don't want RGB LEDs I don't dance on TwitchHub to make a living.  Fuck off.  Why is dual-mode scrolling a fucking unicorn feature?  Everything sucks.  I'm pulling a trackball out of the drawer, fuck it.

       @nach I'm trying to like it, really I am.  I made a run with it last year and eventually went back.  If mice-mice are going to be shit forever I'm going to learn to like it if it kills me.

       @nach I have like 2000 hours logged on Medic on TF2, that's the extent of my FPS gaming capability.  Used to love doing highlander tournaments though.

       @prettygood I'm curious what dual-mode scrolling is, as I haven't heard that term before. Also, is a  wireless mouse still a problem if you have the option of still using a USB cable (my mice have almost all been like this)?

       @nieuemma what I mean by dual-mode is a switch to change between normal ratcheted scrolling and free-wheel scrolling.  Often, I want to fling the scroll wheel and just go to the top or bottom of a page or a document.  If I have to do more than one full scroll wheel worth of moving, I like to free-wheel it.  For whatever reason I have very little patience for zzt zzt zzt zzt zzt scrolling to move a long distance.
