       @ascentale @xtaran @bikenite definitely the dynamo that’s in the middle of the wheel (not the external ones on the outside), I don’t know the english terms for the things.It’s neglegible when pedalling and allows me to just keep the lights always on, as ought to be.The external dynamos fail too often, especially in weather.I also had a bicycle with clip-on lights once, but those were a bother (always take them with me lest they get stolen, which is often a no-go) and usually empty when I needed them. While batteries got better, luck didn’t, so that’s still a hard no from me for two independent reasons.Never heard of inductive always-on, but what I have is functionally the same, so I’d probably like it.

       @xtaran @bikenite A1. Hello #BikeNite! I am in Oakland, CA today. Most of my lights are USB-rechargeable. I have a dynamo-powered light (front hub dynamo) but I don't use it too often. The light is fine but I don't have it permanently mounted. Because of the threat of theft, I used to remove that light every time I parked the bike. The wires fatigued over time and I had to go through multiple rounds of repair, use, and more repair.#BikeNite
