       Small bit of trivia that may or may not be entirely true (because my memory is like a sieve):Labor Day is celebrated in the United States in September because of the association with communist, anarchist, socialist ideals of the May 1 celebration. ... and the American Labor Day predates the May 1 Labor Day by a few scant years.
