       I am watching a K-drama set on a farm and suddenly everybody is harvesting corn *by hand.* My inner Kansas child was in disbelief so I had to check reality. So here is the real deal: Korea has Daedong farm machines:  advanced, smart, and self-driving, intelligent, intelligent, autonomous, automatic, AI-driven, high-tech, robotic,, precision, cutting-edge, state-of-the-art, smart, self-driving,, and modern agricultural machines.

       Then there is Kubota machines, which of course everyone knows. They make small combine harvesters adapted for local, often difficult, terrain conditions.They also make the decently priced and my favoritely named  machine- The Gonghammer:  type of walk-behind, self-propelled corn harvester tailored for smaller, manual-style, manual-style, small-scale farming environments. That's what my k-drama needed.

       @Thoreau I've seen the Iseki version of that. The technical term is Reaper-Binder because thats what they do.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reaper-binderOdd that they planted corn too, that's not a super popular crop in Asia I would expect.

       @yngmar  Korean popular dishes include corn cheese (!), cold corn salad, corn soup, and roasted spiced corn on the cob.  Their corn is a slightly less sweet and slightly chewier version of American corn. Their kernels in movies look huge to me!  I can attest I have watched enough K-dramas that I have seen these down-home  comfort-food dishes presented. Nom nom nom
