@graf @pwm Hey guys I haven't been on much, what's happening? I've been getting asked a bunch of questions but have next to nothing to pass along. Did the backup send successfully/what kind of rollback are we looking at/roughly how long till we can resume shitposting and do a headcount on survivors etc?

@SuiWithAZer0 @graf I believe we are still waiting for the prior server host to get graf the access he needs to grab the data. After graf gets the access he needs, I'll receive a copy of the data and get going on migrating and restoring. I am personally hopeful to have everything in place so that I can knock it out this upcoming weekend (Sun-Tues for me) but we are all stuck until the old server host moves. Graf can tell you better what's going on with them, I only have the 1000 ft overview.

the guy in this datacenter moves at a snails pace. he asked me two days ago:> Do you have keystrokes disabled on your OS? I can't reboot it with an external KVM to see the drives in it.which is not something I was even aware of until today but apparently there are kernel parameters that allow you to disable keyboard input entirely which seems kind silly when we rely on IPMI. I told him no. No response. Some shit happened in my irl sphere, touched base with him because there was still no reply and there is still no reply. So, I poked him again but this time reminding him that it is because of this that I am sunsetting a business and the dragging heels thing is really starting to piss me off. Originally he gave me an ETA (ike a week ago I think) of "early may" to REPLACE the network hardware on the original rack but I think he is trying to put our disks into a similar chassis to get the data off. I do not have an ETA at this time but if this response goes unanswered I will call his personal cell phone today.

@graf @pwm Sounds shitty, did you have backups on your end or were you assuming he'd be able to send you those? We might be able to speed this up, and limit how much you have to interact with that faggot, if we just take a rollback or something?

Yeah give me a bit I'm handling legal shit right now but there are backups off-site but they are kinda old (8+ weeks I think)

I won't be nosy but good luck with whatever that's about dude.I can't make the choice I'm just a lowly do-it-for-free but it might save you a headache or three if you can just burn the bridge with that data center sooner rather later. He seems to be being a cunt from what I've heard lol@Decayable What do you guys think? I can't remember what we'd lose from a couple of months tbh

Nothing bad don't worry just annoying. The last off-site stored *super extra emergency break in case of emergency-emergency* database is a lot older than I had anticipated. Give me a short time I'll put a pin in this and I might have a more favourable answer here shortly
