       @alf I read a lot, and have no idea what "a silhouette of clothes" is supposed to mean.I listen to a lot of audio books and have heard "gauche" pronounced several ways.  I know what it means, but there doesn't seem to be a single correct pronunciation.

       @tj @alf I would say a silhouette of clothes means clothing that reviles the outline of the shape of the body.It does not really matter, does it create imagery?Does it sound better than an outline of clothes, or tight clothing?Gauche: I would say it like go-sh, go as in the opposite of stop, and sh, the sound at the start of she.

       @DazzaNZ @alf I've heard it goesh, gosh, and gowsh.  Once I heard it gow-shay.  I also pronounce it the first way.
