kinda surprised that so many "fantasy consoles" are essentially just opinionated graphics/audio wrappers for interpreted languages that are otherwise running on the host machine (e.g., pico8/lua). i would have thought that there would be more fantasy consoles that specify a virtual machine (like uxn https://100r.co/site/uxn.html) or reuse an existing CPU architecture (like minicube64 https://aeriform.itch.io/minicube64)

@aparrish I looked all over for those when I started working on Uxn, there's very few and for the few there are, almost none has any software written for them. Chip-8 has a pretty active community around it, and lots of games and things.
