       what's the career path for someone who went into tech because it was a thing they've always enjoyed and now it paid the bills too - but now they don't enjoy it anymore? is it still to open a bar to serve a clientele of other burned out tech workers?asking for a friend

       @q3k my friend (not from it) has been considering using her savings to invest in an electrolysis machine and course/certificate to provide affordable care for trans ppl, we need more of that rather than ai slop

       @tyalieI'm now aware of any such books, which is why I suggested writing them as a career path.Though I guess some of Neal Stephenson's technothrillers - that were written before *gestures wildly* all of this - could count?
