       Not going to be as effective as they think.Imagine if the force you want to go to war with are the postal workers and DMV workers that don't want to be there to begin with, and only show up to the job for the benefits and do the absolute bare minimum to get through the day.That's what it's going to be like if they try and do forced enlistment.

       Actually, yes. Instead of just the poor and the dispossessed, having some members of the middle and upper class be among the ranks would be an improvement over depending on just those that volunteer, (said poor and dispossessed). The problem is zog, not the idea of conscription.

       Having a conscript army also is historically a political check against the rulers as well. Hence, why I do not think a real draft will ever happen again. You can't really get away politically with endless wars and profits for the MIC if a portion of the force isn't there by choice.

       @wgiwf @Terry ain't no waywell, maybe in a fantasy land where america isn't america and people believe in duty and responsibility and shit.it'd be like a huge public school, where 80% of the manpower goes to dealing with the students who don't want to be there, don't care about learning, and dedicate their time to causing problems on purpose.  just like with group projects, the primary responsibility of every unit will become to carry the dead weight of people who don't want to be there and don't care.simple tasks like taking inventory and doing maintenance on equipment become impossible, because someone didn't feel like doing it and simply threw the part they were supposed to replace in the toilet, clogging it.  everything that isn't nailed down gets stolen, usually without even a half baked plan on what to do with it, ask them why and it's all "dunno" and a vacant stare.  and you can't send them all to the brig or you're the one getting shit from the higher ups on why people under your command are having so many problems.  so you make your few remaining decent folks carry the stolen items back to where they belong and pull an all nighter doing the maintenance for reals.opsec becomes impossible too, no matter how many times you confiscate phones from the bottom quintile and make them sit through powerpoints about properly handling classified information, they somehow find more phones (and drugs ofc) and use them to hook up with the local whores.  you have to rescue a guy who got stuck in the concertina wire while trying to sneak off base to hook up with a whore, and he's gonna do it again next week.  they're constantly placing bets on gambling apps about military operations, posting selfies with intact metadata and your most sensitive shit in the background, and bragging about everything they know to foreign spies.  again, you can't punish them all, you'll only be met with a shrug and a vacant stare.

       Palantir tech will be very helpful in executing the "Ukraine Model".   This jew-war package comes with "anti-retreat" forces, of course - so, it doesn't matter if the "mobilized" (drafted) WANT to be there, or not.
