       How come every good database uses such shitty query syntax? It seems positively *insane* to me that the industry standard is **text parsing**.

       @gardiner_bryant same here.A partial response I got was that queries are optimized like a JIT type of thing, so having bytecode queries probably makes sense.This does not explain how such a terrible language like SQL is still the standard. It's positively terrible because it works sometimes backwards sometimes forward and the complexity of your query comes from context more than the code itself...
