       @RadicalGraffiti For context: the allied troops had moved through Surafend taking the area by force only a few months earlier.The propaganda of the time has trouble deciding whether it was because the British authorities were not mean enough to the locals, or that they would never do such a thing and it was all their (New Zealand) soldiers' fault.https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/HBTRIB19191220.2.10
