Sad to report that we lost Cashel to a respiratory infection last night.He had trouble breathing on the way to the vet, but still insisted on cuddling up beneath She Who Must Be Obeyed's hand. #petRats #rats Cashel was rescued from a hoarder. The shelter called him #748. I like to think we gave him a better life than he could have dreamed of.

@mwl this is the hardest part of having rats, and it always comes too soon. But you gave him a wonderful life, and I'm sure he was grateful and happy to have you.

@mwl My sincere condolences, I'm sorry.I also lost my beloved rat Tüt when I was a teenager.I still remember him leaving while I was cuddling him. Somehow, despite the sadness, I was so grateful to have had the chance to say goodbye to him this way. I know it's silly, but to me it was like he waited for me.He was such a really good friend.I hope you had this chance too.
