       @mangeurdenuage Hmmm, for super new hardware like this it would not be because of FSF's understandable stance on firmware. Specifically, the binary blobs the kernel loads into the WiFi card, GPU, and CPU at boot (iwlwifi for BE211, GuC/HuC for Arc B390, microcode updates for Panther Lake). The drivers themselves are in the libre kernel, but they're useless without the firmware to feed the hardware.

       @frameworkcomputer Thank you very much for that precision, the wifi card should be replaceable with a AR9462 like the one on https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/wireless-n-dual-band-m2-ngff-combo-card-tpe-m2ncrd no ?>they're useless without the firmware to feed the hardware.I do not know about this particular hardware but on other laptops that passed in my hand I would say, not exactly, the linux-libre project did create and fix lots of issue related to that, drivers do work to some extent but without hardware acceleration, otherwise screen size etc... works most of the time now.For CPU that's not an issue imo.So I guess this laptop could work under linux-libre as long as the wifi card is changed. I know time is money but would you be kind enough to reference it into https://h-node.org/ please ?I'd do it myself but I currently don't have one under my hand.CC @lxo

       @mangeurdenuage Here is what I have been told. I am going to quote the team here: "The card info you attached is "E" key type. Mechanically, our M.2 socket for wifi card is "E key" type. For the cards support "E" or "'A+E" type fit our M.2 socket. So the answer is "Yes" (Mechanically)." (However and this one I will paraphrase) There may be suspend issues with some wireless cards, so we'd  require additonal validation before calling this a good idea.
