       yeah all 4 of the Sharks lack their FICON cards, only doing ESCON and no parallel SCSI

       @wec it's more the -750 than the ESCON over FICON. ESCON's not uncommon by itself, and that one wouldn't have HVD. What's throwing me is that it's a BE HSL-RIO, not CPI, which means it should be a -750, but it's got E10 disk packs. There's NO way it's an F10/E10 either - TOTALLY wrong controller.But like I said - I don't see the HMC. No HMC, no way it's coming up. I REALLY want to get my hands in this one, it's DEEPLY weird.

       @wec ... also because it wasn't shut down properly and has about a dozen batteries that will turn extremely spicy if you power it up. So, uh, yeah. Don't do that. (This goes QUADRUPLE for any DS4k's. Do NOT apply power to any of them. They have lithium ion grenades that are NOT accessible.)
