       biggest news in the framework announcement is the compatible touchscreen. gonna get that as soon as i have money.also, this reminds me of another reason of why i say i recommend framework. i upgraded keyboard, bezel and battery and this procedure is probably going to continue, ship-of-theseus-ing the device with partial upgrades that are a lot more affordable and less evil to the environment than one big upgrade.

       @filmroellchen framework is funding racists and transphobes, transferring money directly into the pockets of people who are doing actual harm by for example forcefully changing the display name of a trans person to their deadname on one of the communication platforms one of the projects uses whose maintainers are getting money from frameworkgiving money to framework is funding real harm in the real worldgoing down this upgrade path for those who already own a relevant device is one thing, recommending framework which causes more beings getting locked into giving money to them which then gets partially transferred to racists and transphobes is another and i don’t think recommending framework is an ethical option anymore, just as it wouldn’t be to recommend buying new books or films that fund jkr
